Reinstalled OS X 10.3 ,and no internet connect

Hi, I did a OS X 10.3 reinstall on my old G4 powerbook and now I cant get the network to hold the info to get online. I put all the info in and lock the page but as soon I go forward the info is gone. When I go to the apple icon and hit the about this mac, the info comes up but if I go to the "more info" the system tool goes to the dock but will not show any more info. It seems like the modem is not working or something also. Any help would be great. Thank Scott

So sorry, but I'm not quite sure what you're talking about so maybe give us a few more details on how your network is set up and possibly some screen shots of where you are entering the network details.
