Reinstalling Software twice

Hi guys,

I've been having issues with my Final Cut Studio software recently. I therefore deleted all the FCS applications and reinstalled. That didn't resolve the issue, so I reinstalled but this time without deleting the software I'd installed previously.

By doing this, will I use up double the storage? Or will reinstalling without deleting just overwrite the existing applications thus not using double the storage?
