The latest update(10.4.5) to Tiger has done some damage to my system. My Macally Icekey keyboard number pad no longer functions. My Logitech MX1000 mouse has lost functionality...no Expose. I have tried to archive and install to go back to the earlier update but run into a problem.....cannot proceed due to a hard drive problem. So, it seems that I will have to erase and install. Ok, I can reinstall my software. I've gone back and downloaded the zipped files for programs like transparent dock and menucalendarclock etc. Yes, I know I could just find them once again. I'm currently using SeaMonkey as my browser and email client. I'll save a copy of my profile plus my wife's profile. How about my iTunes? Can I just save a copy of the iTunes library and then substitute it after I reinstall? How bout the same with iPhoto library? BTW I have Toast and I was thinking that I would make a "burn" folder and just burn my data files/music/pics from my profile and my wife's (guess I should put all her stuff in a folder and put it in a "shared" folder so I could access it from my profile. Don't know exactly what the size of the folder would be but Toast says that it will "span" and I could burn it to a DVD DL if necessary. Anyway, would like your thoughts on this. Also when I update can I update to just 10.4.4? Thanks
