I am trying to find a usb c hub for my new M1 MacBook Air. I have read numerous reviews, but to date have not found any that don’t have stability issues. Now the Air has been around for a few months can anyone recommend one that is stable and does what it says on the tin. Looking to spend £100 max and would like power pass through, micro SD, HDMI 4K 60hz, at least 1 USB C and ideally a couple of usb a. Thanks

I'd suggest looking at OWC (macsales.com) and Caldigit's offerings to see what matches your needs. Don't know if you're looking for a hub to use as a single-cable docking solution or if you're looking for a portable hub you take with you.
Note that Thunderbolt docks generally do better at handling a lot of data & video than USBC docks, but they also cost more. On the plus side they often come with their own power supply.

Tried the Caldigit Soho dock, but unfortunately the Micro SD mechanism broke on first use and the Usb C was unable to hold connection with my Samsung T7 SSD. Subsequently discovered the T7 problem is a known issue. The TS3 however does look good, albeit a bit big/expensive.
I use this one every day, and it is great! There seems to be a big jump in cost from 4k30 support to 4k60 support. This one is $30 and only supports 4k30. For me this is fine. I have another 4k60 capable Apple dongle I can use when I need it.
I also picked up this angled USB C 6-foot cable to use with the hub. I can hide the hub away connected to power and a USB ethernet adapter, and just have this one nice angled connection. It kind of reminds me of how the angled mag-safe adapters used to look.

I would recommend the NOVOO 8-in-1 USB-C Hub. I have had mine for over a year now, and I have had no problems with it so far. It works with my MacBook Pro. that’s the hub that bricked my M1 MacBook Pro. Before that it was great! Apparently big sur software fix should mean it doesn’t happen anymore but I’m too scared so bought the satechi.
