Though helpful, I've found searching for 'my favourite tweaks'-type threads every now and again to be a pretty inefficient way of keeping up to date with new JB tweaks and apps. This forum is great for solving JB problems, but understandably, not so good for doing this.

Any suggestions for well-written, regularly-updated sites that curate and list new stuff on Cydia? Not YouTube based ones please, it's harder to scan a youtube video than a webpage...

sorry, I should have clarified: I know you can find threads like this on page 1: forums.macrumors.com/threads/1467242/

But I was wondering if there was a more efficient way: a few reliable sites devoted to cydia tweaks and apps. Better to follow them rather than clogging up the forum by asking things like 'any good tweaks out recently?' or keeping regular tabs on a forum that mainly features problem-solvers

I realise its ironic that i'm clogging up this forum with a question that sounds familiar, but its not the same question, honest.

I know how to use google, and have used it, obviously. There are hundreds, if not thousands of sites devoted to jailbreaking and tweaking, most of them are spammy linkbait or terrible. I just wanted suggestions for a couple of well-curated ones with rss feeds worth checking regularly. Thanks anyway.

I just check the list of changes every time I go on Cydia, ignoring the themes usually and just look for the tweaks. I find a lot of nice things that way.

thanks all, modmyi's 'best tweaks of the week' threads and iphone download blog seem to be the ones most worth following.

(Shameless plug on.)

You could also take a look at my cross-posted JB articles here in the JB forum. My articles contain a lot of for example compatibility info not published / available anywhere else (including the sites recommended above). Just some examples of my newer JB articles:

And, of course, I'll keep posting my new reviews of new, useful Cydia tweaks in the future too.

Besides reading the existing threads, I recommend Google...

It allows one to help themselves to find things on the Internet :)
Strong reading skills. He is looking for a site that is the equivalent of CNN for cydia.

I guess :D

My entire point was even though the thread started claimed none of the existing threads here on MacRumors had any relevance to his question, in fact there were already numerous suggestions for places he could check to see if they met his needs.

Well I'm sorry I asked. As it happens, I found two things that I wouldn't have found without extensive digging around.

The regular modmyi best tweaks thread, not the forum in general, this is well laid out and doesn't just
http://modmyi.com/forums/iphone-news/813607-best-tweaks-week-oct-1-oct-7-a.html

and idownloadblog and youtube. as well as the threads started by Menneisyys2.

I know I could have searched through the many, many threads titled things like 'best tweaks' and checked all the sites linked to, subscribed to youtube channels and figured out which were the best etc. but I figured people would have opinions to share that would be helpful. I didn't think it was that dumb a request. Anyway, I hope someone other than me finds this helpful. Its certainly been helpful for me.

It took me all of 5 minutes tops to find the existing MacRumors links I suggested (that included copy - pasting back and forth).
And other posters posted other MacRumors links as well.
It sounds like you have found at least a couple valuable places to watch.
