I have seen these folders on the desktop of systems I've remote viewed, so it *seems* that the folders are somehow related to 'screen sharing'.

Has anyone else seen those folders, and do you think they are related to screen sharing? The reason I think that is that I can delete them, but they show up after I share, and then go on the system again. Weird, and, so far, I can delete them but they look kinda weird popping up over and over.

Bug? Feature? Annoyance? I can't rememeber when they started, but they have been popping up for some time now. They aren't hidden, from what I can tell. Something else, some systems I have screen shared to before seem to disappear from time to time. I wonder if there is a connection, somehow, to me deleting those files. Stranger things have happened...

Thanks...

I have had this same folder on my desktop as well. I deleted it more than once. I do not see it anymore and I did not have any screen sharing sessions.

Hmm...

The reason I thought there might be a connection is because I screen share a lot, and it seems every time I get done with a share session, I find that folder. Maybe it's just a coincidence. It would make more sens if the folder was hidden, because they aren't large (so far). *shrug*

Thanks for the reply.

You mean the macOS update folders for items that could not be moved to the correct location?

Yes - sounds strange - the only ones that I have seen are the macOS ones and I use Teams a lot with screen sharing.

The one system that I have repeatedly seen those folders is the one that I Shared into the most, and the last time I tried, it wasn't in 'Network'. Actually a couple of other macOS systems weren't in there either. I swear Murphy, and the Computer Gods must be having a heck of a good laugh teasing me. The problem is, there aren't any good candidates for human sacrifice to potentially make it all go normal again. (JUST KIDDING!!! (Unless someone has had it work for them))

Big Sur has been drama rich, more than other versions, IMO... *shrug* If they don't cause issues, I guess it doesn't matter that they popup occasionally.
