sorry if this question has been asked before...

I recently downloaded ziphone and decided to unlock and jailbreak my phone. I am an ATT subscriber, so i had no real need to unlock it. My question is this: is there anyway to relock my phone--that is, change everything back to the way it was after i bought it? My iphone is currently version 1.1.4. If I kept it unlocked and downloaded the next upgrade, will my iphone brick? ANY help/advice would be greatly, greatly, greatly appreciated!

To go back, just do a full restore via iTunes. The only real issue is your bootloader, which will only be a problem if you need warranty work. If you have had your phone early on and it came with anything below 1.1.2, you will not need to worry about it. If the phone was bought afterwards, it came with 4.6 and will need to be moved back since ZiPhone changes it to 3.9.
Let us know when the phone was bought(4th and 5th serial numbers) and someone should be able to help you from that point on.

Im still trying to figure this out since Im kind of in the same boat as you. I need to take mine in for warranty work, but luckily my phone is pretty old at this point so I don't need to mess with changing the bootloader.

But yes, a full restore will erase most of the jailbreak traces and you wont have any issues upgrading. Though if any new updates come out, that's up for grabs...

Thanks, amemoryonce lost, for responding.

I recently bought my iphone-this month actually...meaning it probably came with 4.6.

Does ziphone really change it to 3.9? My I clicked "update" in my itunes and it says it's stil 1.1.4. Also, what exactly is the bootloader?

If I click full restore in itunes, with it get rid of Jailbreak AND RElock the phone?
