Relpacing the HD5770 cooling?

Hi all,

I've got a Mac Pro 2010 with the ATI HD5770 graphics card. The fan on the 5770 is a bit to loud for my taste and I'm wondering if it's possible to replace the fan with something else that will make my MP more quiet.

I posted about replacing the cooler on my 5870 HERE and I am sure the company will do a suitable product for the 5770.

A couple of people have said their 5770 is loud, which is surprising to me. Mine is silent at idle and very near silent under the heaviest of loads.

It makes me think that one of us doesn't have a fan that is working properly.

Bought the stuff that Daniel bought for his 5870 and will be trying it out tomorrow.

My 5770 is loud, the MP sounds like an old PC so I hope this will help.
