Do you remember those years? For example, iOS 7 release day had wow factor. However, the last years the updates are so minimal, that after waiting several weeks from wwdc keynote you download it and the first impression is… that’s all?

what do you think about?

I dont agree with you. its just they release the beta version before hand and it does feel like new when you install it for the first time.

I think Apple is just parsing out its enhancements rather than bundle them in big package update. This is probably better because if there are problems they can be more easily addressed and fixed. Also they can withhold enhancements for hardware updates as well.

I prefer small incremental changes over big jarring ones like iOS 7 was. I'm pretty happy with iOS 15 being an optimization and cleanup release; I'm sure there will be bigger changes with iOS 16 next year.

I agree, optimization and cleanup is really appreciated.

And about Apple withholding software enhancements for new hardware is really frustrating in some cases. For example night mode in front facing camera of 11 pro max or photo styles of this year. Impossible to believe that Apple could’t include it because of hardware limitations…

I also remember the years when upgrading to a release full of bugs. I'm more than happy with a refinement release. Some of the changes in the built-in apps are actually quite cool.

To be honest, it’s a pretty big update. Lots of cool new features and improvements. Granted more so for the 2018 iPhones and newer
