Other Remembering our previous iPhones

I stayed overnight at the local mall to be one of the first to get the iPhone 5 when it was released in 2012. Was number 3 in line. That replaced my iPhone 4.

I remember staying up late to order an iPhone 5S, my second phone after starting off with a used iPhone 4. I miss my jet black iPhone 7 too. my iPhone X was my first real workhorse iPhone that I held onto for awhile. traded most of them in for newer models as time went on for credit.

I was on a camping trip when the iPhone 4 was being released. Orders were able to be accepted after midnight and calling in right about then to pre-order was a thrill. Those days are now long gone.

I really wanted the slate iPhone 5 - I still think it was one of the best colors. Unfortunately had a 4s at the time and couldn’t justify the cost to upgrade

It’s so funny you posted this. I saw the white titanium 15 Pro and got nostalgic for the white iPhones 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, and 5S I had before I started switching colors.

The 15 Pro will be my first white iPhone in a long time. I’m excited.

I used to keep my phones when we could get a new one for $200 and a two year contract. Was it only $200? I miss those days! I recently pulled out my old phones and powered them on. Now, I very willing trade in my phones. Especially for $1000. For the phones above, they start at the iPhone 3 then 4 and 5. The next is either a 6 or 7 (don't remember). Then the iPhone X on the right. I had a first year iPhone. Don't know where that went.

Normally I'd participate in this…but I'm just too tired to put a couple phones on charger so I can take picture.

So, I'm going to say this…on my desk right now are all the phones I've used since 2009.

In order…HTC Touch Pro, iPhone 5, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s Plus, Pixel 3a XL, iPhone 11 Pro Max.

PLUS! Three phones I have but never used as a primary phone: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s.

I went and saw the original 2g on release day in the Apple Store in Cincinnati. I was in college in Dayton and I was skeptical because I swore I’d hate a touchscreen 😂 I played with it for a while and fell in DEEP. I was obsessed. We called it the jesusphone. I loved it. I went home, slept on it, and the next day we went back down and the 8GB model became my first credit card purchase… very bad idea in retrospect 😅

I have moved many times and I know I still have the phone but it’s missing. I followed Panic! at the Disco on tour for several dates and I had them all sign the back of the phone. I’ve only owned iPhones ever since and I’ll never switch, it’s just part of me. It’s a tool I use for absolutely every aspect of my life (I have diabetes now so I will soon have a glucose monitor that will talk to my phone). I just love my phone so much.
