Reminders alert showed up on iMac?

The other day, I set a location based Reminder to go off when I got home.
It worked, as expected, BUT, when I woke my iMac (el Capitan) from sleep, it had an alert "Reminders app want's to use your location" (I think). I selected ok, and the Reminder alert showed up on the iMac screen.

Today, I set a location based Reminder to go off when I got home.
It worked, as expected, but nothing showed up on my iMac.

How do I get it so they show up on my iMac?

Going to ask the obvious: did you delete or mark as complete the reminder on the phone?
