I use the stock reminders App for a lot of things to keep track of. As an example, i have a "Home Maintenance" list and I have something like, "clean out humidifier" to go off every 1 month. Of course, I can't always get to it exactly when it goes off, so if my reminders app reminds me on July 1st, but I don't checkmark it until July 10 - the next reminder still goes off on August 1st. Is there a way for it to automatically adjust to August 10th (1 month from when I click on complete on the task)?

Thanks so much!

I was just digging around a bit and it certainly doesn't seem there is. It seems that the only option is strict intervals (like rent) and not factoring in actual completion dates (say, laundry every 10 days).

I use Things a lot, which has an "after completion" option for things like this. It's amazing and I use it for 95% of everything, but it does lack a couple key features Reminders has, like shared lists and location-aware notifications. So I end up still using Reminders for certain stuff.

oh wow, i need to look into the after completion portion on things. i just purchased it because i like that it is cross platform and i can use it on a web browser for work too. hard part is i have some stuff already in reminders and don't know if there is a way to import them because right now i am living in two worlds so to speak!

thanks for taking the time to respond!

Are you talking about Things (this app?)

I don't believe it has a web component, unless you're talking about something else.

If we're talking about the same app, you're in luck:

The other thing you can do is just change the date of the reminder to Today, before you mark it complete.
