Having trouble setting a due date on both iPad and iPhone, any suggestions. I have location services turned off for it since it always runs the GPS looking for location based reminders.

You have to enter the reminder first, then deselect it. Then after tapping it again you should get a details view where you can set a due date.

to be clear, I can set a reminder, but I actually want to set a specific due date as well and then use the reminder to actually remind me of the due date.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I'm on an iPad and the way that I have had to set times for reminders is listed above. It doesn't make sense to me either.

edit: What just worked for me was:

1: Type the reminder
2: Tap and hold for 1/2 a second in the checkbox column
3: That should bring up the details pane.

Let me know if that works for you.

nope, didn't work. the strange thing is that I do have one event that has a due date associate with it. but only one event. now I can't add event's with a due date. only a reminder date.

If I create a reminder on my Mac in iCal, then, after it syncs through iCloud to my iPad, I can see Remind Me and Due Date, but not if I create the reminder in the reminder app.

that is just what happened. thanks, I'll be interested to see if I can retroactively setup a due date on iCal w/ reminders. This is all rough right now, but I like the direction this is all headed once a more full integration takes place.
