I use simplenote as my primary 'notes' app because it syncs beautifully across all my devices-- iphone app, ipad app and a mac dashboard widget for easy access.

I would like to use Reminders (ios) exclusively now since it adds functionality, so I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a reminders dashboard widget that would allow me to sync my reminders across all devices and have access to reminders quickly in my dashboard.

Thanks

Or is there a way someone knows to sync reminders in iOS with some other note software that can become a dashboard widget (like simplenote)?

Unless your simplenote app supports syncing to iCloud's CalDav service... otherwise i don't think you will be able to sync the reminders from your app to iOS5 reminders app.

AFAIK the 2do app supports iCloud syncing now.

I use Reminders now on iOS 5 and have always used this Dashboard widget for iCal stuff http://islayer.com/apps/organized/ it does indeed show my reminders i set up in iOS. Though i don't think that its showing whether things are done or not. It does SHOW them though, so thats enough for me.

thanks - i actually have the widget already, but it doesn't sync my reminders... do you need Lion to do so? I have Snow Leopard but am wary of updating because I heard it may slow down my MBP (which is already quite a bit slower than when I bought it a couple yrs ago) and doesn't work well with dropbox..

Hmm.. Yeah I am not sure about that, I am running Lion so i got iCloud doing its thing and Organized just works (mostly). As far as Lion, I don't feel like its slowed my iMac down at all and I haven't had any problems with Dropbox either (which i use A LOT). There were rumors that iCloud was coming to Snow Leopard, but i haven't seen anything since late August about it.
