How do you use the "Completed" reminders list?

Am I wrong, but should a reminder that has past automatically be placed in the "Completed" section?

Example: I set a reminder to occur when I get home. I arrive at home, it reminds me. But, it seems to remain an active reminder. If I don't delete it, the next time I arrive home, that same reminder pops-up.

Is there a way to get a reminder to automatically be removed after it occurs?

You have to complete the task by marking the checkbox to the left of the reminder.

Oh, ok.

Still, it'd be nice if a task automatically was removed once it's time has passed.

Is that not possible in this version of iOS?

I don't think so ... just because the time of the reminder passes doesn't mean you have actually completed the task.
