Apple has updated the iPhone Remote app which is in turn an upgrade to the functionality of :apple:TV.

New in this version:
- Create Genius Playlists
- Create and edit playlists in iTunes

Oddly enough, any playlist that includes video displays as "Content Can Not Be Played" on my Apple TV.

It looks like this may be a precursor to an Apple TV software update, at least I hope.

I can't seem to figure out how Genius works with this update. I don't see an option anywhere. Maybe it's because all my music is synced to the ATV and iTunes is not running on my Mac?

With a track playing, just click on the album art, to bring up the time slider, repeat and shuffle controls... the genius playlist button is in the middle.

Thanks, but no cigar. I bet it's because of my setup. Remote probably needs the Genius info from iTunes on my desktop. Maybe after an ATV sync...
