I've got a jailboken iPhone 5.

I've installed Veency on the phone and can use TightVNC on my laptop to view and use my iPhone remotely over wifi, which is really cool.

I've also installed SSH on the phone and can use WinSCP to log into the phone, again over wifi, on my laptop and view the file system structure. This also allows me to copy out files such as pictures etc straight to my laptop from my phone, which is also really cool.

Both these features are very useful to me but they seem to rely on the phone being connected to the same wifi network as my laptop.

My question to you all is:

Is there a way to log in and access my iPhone remotely over the internet without the phone being attached to the same wifi network as my laptop?

Just as you would use the likes of LogMeIn to access your home computer from work, if I left my phone at home, is there a way I can log into my phone remotely from work?

If you connect to the same network everytime yes, on cellular data it is hard as you get a new ip address everytime you connect.

Yeah, so what I'm trying to do is connect to my phone from work if I leave it at home.

My phone will either be connected to my home wifi or the cellular data network.

I know it's tricky but there must be a way?

Lets say to begin with that the phone is connected to my home wifi network and I'm at work, how would I start going about connecting to it?

For SSH you need to forward port 22 to your iphone ip on your router, that will work directly if you have a static ip for your internet at home.
