remote.app alternative

Since I've got my iPhone 4, I've start hating the official remote.app: It doesn't support iOS's multitasking, the UI is not retina-optimized... c'mon Apple, it's your own app!

anyway... do you know an alternative? something that support library browsing and playback controlling

I can't even get the bl**dy thing to work!

I'm running the latest iTunes (10.1)
Signed into Home Sharing.
Firewall turned off.

But still everything I try doesn't work, even been on the phone to applecare who couldn't help... the tech guy seemed to be tutoring himself! and annoyingly making me reset my iPhone to factory settings! without warning me it would displace all my icons out the folders.

The only thing i haven't tried is updating my iPhone to 4.2, but as I'm jailbroken, thats not an option until an untethered 4.2 JB is released.

anyone else had any issues?
