Remote app and Apple TV not working

The iPad is recognized as a remote for iTunes, but it is not recognized as a remote for apple tv. This happening to anyone else? Or has anyone at least gotten the iPad working with their Apple TV?

for some reason, neither of our iPhones work with appletv anymore

I think Apple will be coming out with a new version of remote pretty soon.

Turns out the Apple TV does work with the iPad; at least according to Twitter folk. I've been away from the house most of the day, but most people haven't had an issue. Just a heads-up for anyone else frustrated.
