I hate it when I'm downloading a torrent and have 5 more mins to go and have to shut down my computer because I have to leave. I was looking at iphone apps and saw that there are remote desktop apps available. In particular there is one that is mac like. anyone have suggestions for an iphone remote desktop app?

agree ...iPhone apps are relatively cheap .99 to a few bucks for the most

Check out LogMeIn Ignition. It's pricy ($30), but it's the best there is, hands down. It works via a LogMeIn account (free).

Huh? Just cause he is downloading torrents doesn't mean he is stealing anything.
And I don't think he is stealing iPhone apps anyway.
I was asking what iPhone apps I should buy to help with my large downloads. for example an iso of suse linux.
First, you could set your computer to automatically turn off in 5 or 10 minutes.
As for a remote desktop app, I've always used Remote Desktop Lite. I'm sure it's not the best, but it's free and works well for my simple needs.

thanks for the recommendation. u r right about the shutting it off but if it's an hour wait there is no way I can be sure. in any case I was hoping other people would suggest an app and describe other uses for the app, as side comentary.

Jaadu is a 5 star app for me too. I love the text editing features, and especially remote copy (copy text from your computer's clipboard and paste it into another iphoine app). It sounds a little gimmicky, but I've found it to be very useful.
iTap RDP may be the best entry in this entire category. Though if you can get by with a lite for free then that's understandable as well.

So, I guess so. The iPhone app is on sale for $20 now.
