Hey, I'm new to posting on this forum, but I had a question about my MBA.

I'm on vacation and want to run a disk off my friends' comp (pc's and mac's); can I download the software to enable remote disk usage or do i have to have the OSX CD?

You can share any disc, whether on Windows or Mac with the MBA (assuming you have remote disk installed on the other machine)

In terms of getting the MBA remote disk "client" software for windows: definitely not. But Toast Titatium from Roxio would do what you want to do and more. Also apple quietly added Remote disk sharing to every mac with a recent leopard update.
