Remote does not work after CPU upgrade

I have just upgraded my Mac mini solo to core 2due t7200 processor. Every thing works fine. I am still using the tiger o/s. A technician upgraded my processor. The only problem I am facing is that the remote does not work and I cannot use front row. Kindly suggest a solution to this problem.

Have you checked in system preferences under security I think if the IR sensor is active?
