any suggestions on how to use my iPad to control my Mac from different wifi networks? I use my iPad Pro for class now and it's great but every once in a while I need something that my Mac runs and it would be nice to have a way to connect in a pinch. Any suggestions for the best apps for this if it's possible?

Chrome Remote Desktop is free and easy to set up.

Or with the built in method you enable Screen Sharing on the Mac, forward port 5900 on your router, and then use any free VNC client on iPad to connect to it.

Then there are others like TeamViewer that is "free" with annoying pop ups when you disconnect.

Splashtop, teamviewer, jump desktop ... And many others. Look for those names in the forum and you will have lots of opinions on them
