Hello,
This weekend I woke up to a bunch of alerts to charges that had been made on several of my accounts. I remotely logged in (via Edovia's Screens app) to my work computer and could see someone was actively controlling my desktop, searching through my passwords, about to send a Western Union telegram. After I went to my studio - which is near my home - I confirmed that someone was doing it remotely and was still at it so I disconnected the internet and shut down the computer.
I guess my question is, does remote management software potentially leave your system vulnerable? I also use a synology NAS which I guess could be another point of entry. What are the best practice for setting up a remote management option?
Thanks in advance for any help.
