Remote MIA, need replacement - Answered

I haven't been able to track down the remote that came with my MBP. It's not something I used often, but running Front Row without it is a real pain.

Are the remotes matched to the computers or will the standard Apple IPod remote work?

They're not matched to the computer. They should just pair up immediately. I have a brand new sealed one that I'd sell you for $20 if you want.

Thanks for the answer. Given that the remote would have to go cross border, halfway across the continent, I might as well just get one at the local Wal Mart. They've got them for $30, but I didn't want to buy one and find out it wouldn't work.
