Anyone else seen this, and/or know of a fix? I can screen share internally on my network from my Yosemite machine to my old Snow Leopard and vice versa, however trying to do it externally now I get the attached image, and no further.. it just sits here and never connects.

Yes the ports are open and forwarded on the router, this was all working on Mavericks no problems at all, so not sure what is going on.. ideas?

And for arguments sake it makes no difference using my external IP address when connecting to VNC:// either.. I can ping it and login to my router externally all fine.

It works for me. However, screen sharing from Yosemite to Snow Leopard takes 20-30 seconds to connect, compared to 3 seconds from Mavericks to Snow Leopard. Pathetic.

Ok so I rebooted my router and Snow Leopard machine, and if I let it sit there connecting, it finally does after about 3-4 minutes, and then it's laggy as hell (my connection is fine on both ends). Internally it's fine, but whatever they did to remote VNC in Yosemite has killed performance. I read a few other threads regarding lag and performance around the new VNC via iMessage function too, so I guess it's not just me!

I have the same problem since I upgrade to Yosemite

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem : it makes about 30 seconds or more to connect to my other computer throw internet (before, under Mavericks and less, it connected instantly).

Under Yosemite, if I use Chicken of the VNC or JollysFastVNC, the connection is immediately.

I don't understand.
