Im looking to use my own computer as a proxy in school, and so i can access my hard drive.. i cant install anything on the school computers, so i need something where i can access it via the web.. is there anything i can use on the mac, like remotelyanywhere for the pc??

If you install the VNC server (this one might work out), you can access it via the web, but you'll need to know your IP or set up DynDNS. However, even with web-based access, you'll need to install some software, and depending on your school's set up, you may or may not be allowed to do this. VNC's web viewer is a Java applet--installed in the browser, but still requiring permission. To my knowledge, there is nothing that is 100% web-based that would be suitable for your needs.
Additionally, even with VNC, the files you manipulate are on your computer alone. This tool won't work if you're doing anything with video (VNC can't handle that much data) or if you want to transfer files between the two computers.

i think the computers in school all have java and flash and stuff like that.. i dont mind installing a program at home, just i cant in school.. i will mostly be using this to access sites that are forbidden on the school network, so it will be a proxy.. i am fine with typing in my ip adress..
