I'm not a gamer and when I saw that Apple monkeyed around and buried the "Updates" icon in the App Store on different page I was pissed. For those of us non-gamers 45+ in years, and not suffering from Peter Pan syndrome, how do I undo this iOS 13.1.2 nuisance?

Well, perhaps if you are 45+ you can learn to deal with life’s little nuisances.

I am well past 45 and just took a couple of seconds to learn the new system. Heck, I’ve even downloaded COD Mobile and am having a ball!

You could have learnt the new way to do it - which really isn't difficult - in the time it took you to type your post.

I'm a gamer who is nearly sixty (currently playing Borderlands 3 and looking forward to Ghost Recon: Breakpoint) and I can cope with this "nuisance".

Technically, its still the same number of actions to update:

iOS 12
Open app store > Click updates > Swipe to refresh

iOS 13
Open app store > Click profile icon > Swipe to refresh

But yeah, hate the seperate icon. Im a gamer, but its mobile games. I use my phone for Diamond diaries saga.

I’m sure it’s temporary while they advertise their new service. Either wait for iOS 14 or downgrade to 12. It’s not that big of a deal you could I dunno just ignore it.

Based on the way you worded your complaint, I am glad you have to deal with it.

I thought 45+ year olds know how to ask questions like an adult.

Best Regards,
Peter Pan

I think it helps to keep in mind that Apple doesn’t develop iOS in order to meet our every need. Apple develops iOS in order to make money from hardware sales.
