Any way to hide the stickers app bar in a conversation in iMessages in iOS11? It used to be a separate click to get to it, now it's persistent at the bottom taking up real estate.

It only goes away until next time you access the App Store icon button in messages. Then it returns next time you open messages.

So basically for someone that doesn't use it or care about it they can hide it once and be done with it. And if they do open it accidentally or because they want to check something, they can then close it again and keep it that way.

Yep, but for those that use it once in a while, you gotta re-hide it. I wish we just had toggles.

Not in the sense I meant. A toggle to remove the bar completely, even if you use the App Store icon. Because they are separate to begin with.

It's not an App Store icon, really. It's a Apps icon.

By default, iMessage apps are ON and therefore visible in a bar at the bottom of iMessage.

If you tap the Apps icon, you can turn iMessage apps OFF. They are then no longer visible.

If you tap the Apps icon again, you will turn iMessage apps back ON. They become visible again.

And so on...

I mean, it is literally the same icon as the App Store and it takes you to the message App Store. Therefore, its an App Store icon. And as I stated before, a simple toggle to turn off the bottom bar would be much more convenient.

It does not take you to the App Store when you tap it, it takes you to your iMessage apps. To get to the store, you have to tap it again in the bottom row, and then tap the "Visit Store" button.

So, again, it is a toggle, it turns iMessage apps on/off. At this point you seem to just be complaining for no reason.

Alright. Whatever you say. I’m not complaining. I merely mentioned it would be nice to have a toggle to completely remove the bottom bar. I frequently use the top bar within messages, not once have I used the bottom bar in the last 3 months. Clearly I’m not the only one. This is not the only thread on the matter.

If you never touch the app icon, you'll never see the bar. How is that not what you want?

Please re-read my post.
