I am running the latest beta build 19A487l.
I have signed out of the Beta program in Software Updates and want to revert to the official release but have got a bit confused with the process.
I initially just did a full internet recovery, but this put the beta software back on.

And no, I didn't back up the MacBook before installing the beta....
I can live with running the betas if I needs be, but wanted to revert back for now if possible.

While under MacOS Mojave, I had participated in the beta program; however, when the official release came out, I did a clean install, then restore from Mojave backup. I then removed the beta update track here.

However, in your case, I believe you're stuck with the beta or you can do a backup of your current Catalina, do a clean install of Catalina, restore from backup, then open software update, and remove the beta updating where the yellow arrow points (there will be a blue link) and then restores the default.

Apple did warned you to make a backup BEFORE installing any beta OS.

Download the full installer from the App Store, or by running the following in Terminal:
Code:
softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 10.15.0
This will put the full installer application into /Applications, and you can run it from there.

Thanks for the replies, and yes I know I should have done a back up.
Never mind it isn't a big issue if I get stuck on beta versions.

I've tried the Terminal command but it just says the commands are not recognised.
If I try the App Store and use Get, it just starts up Software Update, which of course then doesn't find anything new.

I'll try another cmd+shift+R but sure I tried that and it just put the beta back on.

That's a very early beta build of Catalina you're using, which is probably why the command I recommended didn't work. You may need to start up using command-option-shift-R, which will allow you to install the oldest compatible operating system for your computer. (You'd have to format the disk to do this, so you'll lose all your data that isn't backed up somewhere else.)
Once you've installed that old version you could update it to the release version of Catalina.

Thanks for the comments.
Got it sorted eventually via the internet recovery.
Errored a couple of times but then went through - still not sure why.
Back to Mojave and then installed Catalina.
