ny somewhere
in system preferences>sound>output, i am suddenly seeing my neighbor's apple tv (i don't have an apple tv).

how do i remove this from the listing? cannot figure it out...

Ask your neighbour to fix their AppleTV setting. Or start streaming porn to it so they probably will.

ha, i wish. i cannot connect to it (i get an error message); just annoying not to be able to (simply) removed unwanted items from that list (on my imac, i use the sound pref menu icon to switch audio interfaces).

if anyone knows how to do this... am not terminal-shy, or anything...

This issue has been around for years so I guess Apple just doesn't care and equates it to seeing outside wifi networks.

yeah, i realize we discussed this here on the forum some years back! crazy that we can't, at least, hide those things... thanks for replying tho.
