So I have every site that I frequent in my favorites bookmark, and therefore as a result, when I click into the search bar, it drops down and shows all the sites in my favorites. But at the same time, it overlaps, and shows all of the same sites in the frequently visited section, which is useless.

Anyone know how to disable the frequently visited section?

I believe this is the option you need to un-check in Safari Preferences:

Nope because that removes the favorites section AND the frequently visited section. I just want the frequently visited section gone.

The same here, I tried to uncheck the box it turns off bookmarks as well, I just want the frequent visited website gone. this is kinda stupid not being able to turn that off since it show what website you visit most frequently to anyone who's using your laptop.

I turn off all of the Smart Search options and enable the Favorites Bar in the View menu. I found smart search disruptive.

This is one of the first things I used Feedback Assistant for. It's totally rubbish that there's not a separate settings to turn this off. First of all, I might not want my frequently visited sites appearing right in Safari (even though they mostly match my favourite sites). Also, sometimes there will be sites under 'Frequently Visited' that I literally only visited once one day but for some reason appears there until it is replaced by some different site. Makes no sense.
