Remove from Recents gone?

yes, many if not everyone are having this issue, i don't know about you, but i have e-mail addresses of people or places that are quiet old popping up.
I called Apple yesterday, and the senior adviser opened a ticket as he also saw it happening with a device he had with him that had 9.0 and also noticed that with another device that he had 8.4.1 it was giving him the option to remove from recent. Its a pain for me.
