Remove from recents

Last couple of PB’s I’ve noticed that in messages that there’s no option to remove a group from recent texts. Used to be able to hit the info button at the top right and remove that group from recent text messages. I’ve got some that have people in it I don’t communicate with any more and would like to clean it up. Has this feature been moved to another area or is it simply gone?

My understanding is that you can only remove individuals from groups that you started initially and they must be using iMessage (not the green bubbles).

I never noticed this was an option. But if you don't want to talk to them anymore, why are they still in group chats with you?

Ok, so maybe I didn't explain it properly. So, I start a group text with 5 ppl. That chat is over, thread is deleted. Sometime later I want to text one of the ppl in the group, NOT the entire group. I get the entire group as an option as I start to type in one of the names. In the past, by hitting the information circle to the right, you could erase the entire group from "recents." That option appears to be not available in the last few Pb's. I've sent in multiple feedbacks requesting it's return.

Ah I see now. Never knew that was posssible before but I can tell you that it doesn’t work on 11.4 beta 3. I had noticed with iOS 11 that groups seem to take precedent now over individuals when starting a new message.

YES!! That’s so frustrating too! I guess it’s my OCD that I want a “clean” message center! ‍
