Hi Guys.

I haven't had any luck searching the forums or the web for my specific problem.

Is there as way to delete / remove an iCloud account from my devices, and create a new one while keeping the same associated Apple ID / Apple Account?

I created an iCloud email address for my GF, but spelt it wrong. Id like to make another with the right email address, and would like to avoid using an alias.

Thanks!

sure. why not just go into settings logout of the iCloud account then click to create a new one instead of logging back in with the old one. no need to delete it, just dont use it. i would delete any backups made to the old one before not using it.

Hi. Thanks, but after I log out, it asks me for an Apple ID, or to create one. If I enter my existing ID, it just uses my existing iCloud account. The other option- creating a new apple ID is what I want to avoid.

I must be missing something?

the only way to correct the spelling mistake is to delete and create a new one OR use an alias email addy.

the new iCloud account can have a different email for the Apple ID that is tied to purchases. you set that up in settings under iTunes once you create the new/corrected iCloud.

Ok, thanks.

actually, you can change your email addy associated with your iCloud account.

from iTunes: go to your account. You will see Apple ID Summary with your email next to it, click on "Edit" in blue on the right, there you can change it, click done.

hmmm, I don't know if you can do this from iOS devices.
