is there a hack or way to remove the orientation lock symbol in status bar??

I want to keep it locked, but it gets in the way of BiteSms and SBSettings Memory and date in the status bar

still nothing yet??

The only way I know is to use a WinterBoard theme.

Make a theme like this:

noRotationLock.theme/UIImages/Black_RotationLock.png
noRotationLock.theme/UIImages/Silver_RotationLock.png

The two png files need to be a 1x1 pixel image that is transparent.

I have created such a theme and attached it. It works great on my iPhone 4.

Search for: "Transparent Rotation Lock". I'm also using "no alarm clock (4.0).

Edit: Sorry these are for Winterboard and you guys are clearly not wanting to use Winterboard. Is it really that bad?

Actually I don't like winterboard either, can you just delete the .png files?
Also do you know where the Bluetooth icons are? On 3.x I changed the white icon on lock screen to be blue when connected but I can't find it anywhere on 4.0.1.

Thanks :)

search "no rotation status" in cydia. this is old but figured id post an actual non winterboard answer.

edit... scratch that. it don't work in latest ios. :S buuuuuuu...

edit 2... "no lock icon" also doesn't work. dammit. (because it *actually* just removes the center lock icon in the status bar when the phone is locked.)
