Remove photos from Favorites in "Phone"

I can't seem to locate this setting after a lot looking and Internet searches. Could someone br kind enough to help me out?

I probably wasn't clear. I don't want to remove a photo from a contact. I would like it to show no photos for any contacts.

That is not a settings option that is available.

I misunderstood the question to begin with. I thought you were talking about favorites in the Photos app.

You can not prevent photos from showing under favorites in the Phone app without removing the photo from the contact completely.
