Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the sticker outline from a Mac? I bought this MacBook on eBay and it came like this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That looks like sun fading to me. I've seen it much more pronounced on a computer at work. There's really no way to fix it short of replacing the display assembly.

I bought a MacBook Pro 14inch used.

Previous owner had a sticker decal on it and although once it was removed there was hardly any sticker residue, there image of the square sticker seemed to be permanently shadowed onto the aluminum MacBook as well.

Have never had this issue and am wondering how to get rid of it.

Rubbing alcohol?
That magic eraser everyone talks about?

"Magic erasers" are melamine foam sponges, and they work like a fine grit abrasive to remove a thin layer of the surface being scrubbed.

They can be effective, but may not be suitable for every situation. "Test in an inconspicuous spot" as they say, if you're willing to take the risk, but keep how they work in mind.

Another vote for lighter fluid - especially good for glues etc as mentioned, we used to use it for cleaning up artwork. For general clean ups I rate those cans of computer foam cleaners. Servisol make a good one. (I've found foam cleaner really good for odd house cleaning jobs too, particularly where things have got really grubby like plastic window frames etc)

I use one or all when i buy in used MacBooks with stickers, grease, ink, dirt etc.
The clear bottle is Isopropyl alcohol 99%
