Is there anyway to remove the flashlight button from the lock screen on iOS 14? I keep accidentally turning it. It sucks.

I have the same problem but with the camera button, accidentally activate the camera constantly. Probably holding it wrong...
Not a way to currently do that, but one can hope. With the wave of customization options added for the home screen in iOS 14, I'm hopeful the lock screen will be next.
By iOS 20 we can hopefully choose our own actions for those buttons. The camera button is especially stupid since you can already do the same by swiping to the left
Sorry to bump this old thread but I can't imagine why Uncle Tim won't let **ME** decide if I want to burn a hole in my leg and/or run down my battery faster! Such a practical and I'm sure simple option to facilitate with all the brilliant minds at Apple!
By the looks of it, iOS 15 will come with much more customization options for the Control Center. And if the other leaks are true we’ll have an always on display on the iPhone 12S so hopefully more lock screen features.
I'd be happy if they just added a few more seconds of holding in the flashlight button before it turns on. i.e. increase the intent factor.
This wasn't an issue for me when Apple used Force Touch (3D)....now that they went with Haptic Touch I'm constantly walking around with my flashlight or camera on without realizing it. 
I simply can't understand the logic of NOT ALLOWING the f'in flashlight on the lockscreen to be removed. With all the customization they now permit this would probably require 1 line of code. I would love to hear their "logical" reason for not allowing this to be removed.
Oh, and also a way to actually DEFAULT the camera to remain in PHOTO (or whatever your choice mode is).

I'm certain that we'll have the option to disable the flashlight in the future.
It could be an "intelligent battery saving" feature that will help market one of the future models of iphone.

Doesn’t work. Still leaves camera set to where it was last used rather than always going back to (for example) PHOTO as a set default every time you open the camera no matter what mode was last used.
The sensitivity of the flashlight button was much more sensitive on my old iPhone X, now with the 12Pro it is a snap switch that takes some effort to turn on. I use it to get to bedroom late at night when done watching TV. Never turned it on accidentally yet.
Would actually be a productivity-booster to be able to change them to the apps we use most often. My father would set one to timer and I to Telegram and Asana.
Exactly! I’d love a quick access button to the messages app instead of a redundant camera button.
On my iPhone 12 Pro Max I have to push the button pretty hard to get the flashlight to turn on. Easier just to ask Seri to turn it on.
That's interesting, I was under the impression it was purely a time-based long press and not pressure sensitive.
I didn’t think the 12 Pro had 3D Touch, i.e. it doesn’t know how hard you’re pressing. Those people should just try pressing lightly but for longer.
