Is there anyway to remove the flashlight button from the lock screen on iOS 14? I keep accidentally turning it. It sucks.
Not a way to currently do that, but one can hope. With the wave of customization options added for the home screen in iOS 14, I'm hopeful the lock screen will be next.
By the looks of it, iOS 15 will come with much more customization options for the Control Center. And if the other leaks are true we’ll have an always on display on the iPhone 12S so hopefully more lock screen features.Sorry to bump this old thread but I can't imagine why Uncle Tim won't let **ME** decide if I want to burn a hole in my leg and/or run down my battery faster! Such a practical and I'm sure simple option to facilitate with all the brilliant minds at Apple!

Settings app/Camera/Preserve settings.Oh, and also a way to actually DEFAULT the camera to remain in PHOTO (or whatever your choice mode is).
Doesn’t work and hasn’t since sometime around IOS 12Settings app/Camera/Preserve settings.

The sensitivity of the flashlight button was much more sensitive on my old iPhone X, now with the 12Pro it is a snap switch that takes some effort to turn on. I use it to get to bedroom late at night when done watching TV. Never turned it on accidentally yet.I wondered why I couldn't Haptic Touch the flashlight button on my XS with 3D Touch enabled. Now I see it was most likely intentionally omitted to decrease chance of unintentional activation.
They have on the 12Pro, see previous post.I'd be happy if they just added a few more seconds of holding in the flashlight button before it turns on. i.e. increase the intent factor.
I’m really not surprised they aren’t customisable. With Apple, it’s their way or the high way.
I do hope to see these buttons customisable in the future tho, it’d be a great iOS 15 feature.
Exactly! I’d love a quick access button to the messages app instead of a redundant camera button.Would actually be a productivity-booster to be able to change them to the apps we use most often. My father would set one to timer and I to Telegram and Asana.
On my iPhone 12 Pro Max I have to push the button pretty hard to get the flashlight to turn on. Easier just to ask Seri to turn it on.I have the same problem but with the camera button, accidentally activate the camera constantly. Probably holding it wrong...

That's interesting, I was under the impression it was purely a time-based long press and not pressure sensitive. On my iPhone 12 Pro Max I have to push the button pretty hard to get the flashlight to turn on. Easier just to ask Seri to turn it on.
I didn’t think the 12 Pro had 3D Touch, i.e. it doesn’t know how hard you’re pressing. Those people should just try pressing lightly but for longer. That's interesting, I was under the impression it was purely a time-based long press and not pressure sensitive.
