Apple Music Removed an old iPad from my Apple ID. Why did this log out Apple Music on my Mac?

Like the subject said, I removed an old iPad (it belongs to my employer; I'm returning it) from my Apple ID and as soon as I did, my Mac, which was playing music, stopped and asked me to log in for Apple Music again.

This just seemed very odd, as they should be two independent devices and removing the iPad should not in any way affect the Mac.

My phone and another test phone on my account were not affected or logged out.

Has anyone seen this happen before? Is there a good explanation for it?

Probably was the device it was tied to, since You might have synced it wirelessly or with a USB maybe.
