I'll state the most obvious first - I'm new to these forums. And I hope to find some help.

I'm a writer, and I've written and published 3 books. All three are in print and on the Kindle. Only one is available on iBookstore.

When I made the one available on the iBookstore, I tried to make all three available. I uploaded all three, did everything correct, I'm sure, because one of the three made it to where it is now for sale.

But two came back as "Removed from sale."

I mean, wtf? I've not received any notice from Apple about what the problem is. I've emailed plenty, with no response. I'm really beginning to get quite bitter about this. I mean, to reject is fine, but please give me a reason.

I've tried to upload and fill out everything again, and nothing changes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Be patient ;) Someone should answer eventually. Personally, I can't really help you. You just have to put up with it if they give no reason, I guess :(

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be pushy. Just noticed a high read count and figured someone might have an answer.

I didn't expect to get a definitive answer regarding my particular problem. I figured there was a small list of reasons why this would have happened, and perhaps some proactive measures I could take to fix potential problems - you know, troubleshoot the problem.

I figured that many of you have experienced such a problem, and might have had some tips that got you through it that I might be able to try.

I just find it very bizarre. I had all three books formatted by the same outfit. One made it through, two didn't. It just makes no sense at all. Everything is virtually identical about the books.

I've scoured the internet for some potential causes for this, and its quite amazing that I've found nothing. I've read all the documentation provided by Apple about this as a problem, potential issues that would give rise to such a problem, and potential fixes, and nothing. A large void with no information. Its amazing.

And that Apple has ignored multiple emails. And I can't find a phone number. Its just baffling.

And I've sold copies of the one book that is up. The other two books would sell as well. So I'm losing money as Apple keeps me in the dark.

I'm not happy about it. At all.

I finally heard back from Apple.

Apparently, on the copyright page, it says "Kindle Edition" on the two books that didn't make it through.

I removed any reference to the Kindle on them all, at least I thought I had, but I guess I missed it on two of them in one particular place, that being the copyright page.

Feel somewhat boneheaded about it, but I've tried EVERYTHING to figure this out, and that didn't even occur to me.

For all who read this and either responded, or felt like you had your time wasted in this thread, my apologies and/or thanks, whichever is applicable.

I'm writing about 5 books per year and will have all the books in print, on the Kindle, and in the iBookstore.

I'm learning online ePublishing as I go, and I'm somewhat shocked by the lack of response and/or delays with some of this stuff. Well, actually, I'm not too shocked about that. I'm more shocked that Apple doesn't have more information for problems like this - sort of a troubleshooting checklist that allows us to do our own troubleshooting while we wait on a response two weeks after we send it in.

Again, thanks all. Have a good weekend.
