I just thought I'd post some pics of my Link Bracelet that was kindof scratched on the exterior side. I used 600 grit sanding paper to restore the brushed finish, sanding in one direction. I'm satisfied with the results. I know there are other techniques that give better results but it looks close enough to mint condition :)

Looks nice. Definitely one of the advantages to a stainless.

One other thing people could do is to replace the scratched links with the extra links they have. On the clasp and non-replaceable links though, they will have to do some sanding.

I've had great success with an ink eraser i bought in an art store (Lyra 7412300 if you're interested).

Fairly gentle, but firm, rubbing with the grain buffs out most marks (using the rougher blue end). I do this every other week to keep it looking almost mint. Don't need to wash it either as rubber blows away fairly easily.

My main concern was that the sanding paper would yield a polished steel look instead of the original brushed steel. Apparently it doesn't which is good! Also, you can always correct the brushed finish if you did not brush it in the right direction at first try.
