Mac Mail allows me to remove email attachments (Messages/Remove Attachments). This is useful as I often want to briefly view an attachment then save space by removing it (maybe after saving it to, say, Photos).
I am looking for the equivalent in Mail on the iPad or iPhone. When I receive an email with, say, a large photo that I don’t want to keep I would like to remove the photo but keep the body of the email. Also automatically remove the attachment for other devices (exactly how Mail on Mac works).
I have found how to “Review Large Attachments” in Settings/iPad Storage but, puzzlingly, this doesn’t always allow me to delete photos attached to a recent email.
At least Mail allows me to choose whether to download large attachments but that is not much use if I actually want to briefly view the photos.
