I remember reading an thread maybe a week or two ago somewhere about someone removing a bunch of extras that come with OSX such as iMovie, iWeb, language files, etc.. on their macbook so that it ran faster and free'd up a bunch of space and helped the RAM so that their macbook ran smoother..

anyone come across this thread as well or does anyone have any suggestions as to what to remove (i.e. what programs are on here that are probably not so necessary)??

any suggestions will help...

Is this the thread you mean?

You won't see speed increases but if it's space you're looking to free up, then apps like Garageband, iMovie and iDVD are good places to start if you don't use them. If you decide you'd like a dabble with them in the future, you can always reinstall them off the disks that came with your Mac.

haha

yes, that is the thread. i have no idea how in the hell i couldn't find that.

in any case, thank you very much.

..

one more question..

you have any idea whether this works well with on my macbook..

i see on the versiontracker website that delocalizer has ceased updates adn the only people to write reviews are people with G4's....

any thoughts?
