Removing Icons From The Home Screen

Hi all,
I love my iPhone and have been enjoying it all day. Tweaking the settings, making my own ringtones, setting up my E-Mail etc.
Have a few questions though,
1. Is it possbile to remove icons like Notes, Stocks, etc. from the home screen?
2. I've got some ringtones on my phone but is it possible to use them as SMS tones?

1. You can't technically remove them, but u can have multiple home screen pages. So I have moved the ones I dont use to the last page.
