My dad had an iPhone 2g but he broke it about a week ago. He then borrowed a 3g from me and restored his backup onto it. Now, AT&T is nagging him via email to add the 3g Plan. He doesn't mind adding it, but he does NOT want to extend his contract just incase the new iPhone gets released on a different carrier or to get the subsidized price on the newer model. Will adding the iPhone 3g data plan extend our contract with AT&T?
