iPod Removing music from ipod

I have a MBP and I am trying to get music from a friend of mine that uses itunes but, on a PC. I remember their being a program that allows the removal of music, like from...her ipod to my computer?? Does anyone remember the name, and would I be able to use this since my friends ipod is synced with a PC instead of a mac, like my own???
