Recently, one of my roomies was borrowing my laptop to just check his email. But when I got it back, I found in the Firefox browser that he had gone to several porn sites, such as *******, *******, and a few more.

Is there any way to get rid of this ***** entirely from my Mac? (running Mac OS X v.10.4.10)

does it matter? It's just porn?

Well you can clear the cache and delete cookies.

*checks out the sites*

Reinstall OSX, then pull the harddrive out, remove the body screws and casing and pour maple syrup on the platters, microwave for 10 to 15 seconds depending on your microwave's power and then reinstall the harddrive.

Furthermore, thanks for the friend story. Like we would have judged you if it was actually you looking up porn on your grandmammy's computer. I like how you named the sites in question

PS - I'm at a loss for what a 5 letter word that would get starred out in this situation would be?

I dunno, maybe porn does not affect Mac's like it does PC's. You put pron on a PC and you're ****ed. Oh, I put **** with an ! replacing the i. Go figure.

to actually answer the question, empty the cache and history of the brower and you'll be fine. Unless "he's" also downloaded some onto your harddrive. ;)

Firefox lets me delete everything but download history and saved passwords. They're blanked out under "Clear Private Data"

Reminds me of when I was using Windows 98 back in the day, and I got a virus from looking at dodgy porn sites.

Computer crashed, and when I restarted, the icon set had changed and the My Computer icon was a big pair of boobs.

Probably the best virus I've ever had.

LOL

i actually did laugh out loud kilamite!, unlike most times when its just an expression

If I understand what your complaining about correctly;

Open firefox and press command-J and that'll open your downloads, then you can click cleanup and it'll remove them from the list.

Hahaha
It scares the s**t out of me when it shuts down on its own, even when Windows does it because of an update and doesn't warn you :(
At least you got a reward at the end I guess ;)

I'd be more concerned about the condition of the hardware. Do any keys get stuck now? :)

It's like that trick question on Cheers when Sam was selling his Corvette. Your driving around in a parking lot in noon day sun and there are no good spots. Do you continue to drive around and wait for a good one or just take what ever??

The answer: You shouldn't even be out with the vette in noon day sun!!!

As in you shouldn't even be loaning out your MAC.

This reminds me of a story.

One of the best pranks I've ever pulled on my friend.

He bought a macbook and had it for a while. I was using it one day and found porn on his computer. I went into the start up items in the prefs and selected all the quicktime porn vidoes. So every time he turned on/logged into his computer all of the movie popped up.

It took him ages to figure out how to undo what i did.
