At the alternatives section.
hello.

i've used Springtomize 2 to edit the "slide to unlock" string on the lockscreen but as with many of springtomize "features", this solution is only half-baked since it doesn't fix the "slide to answer" string in the same place (which extends beyond the space i have allocated to it in my theme).

so i had to get my hands dirty and manually edit the SpringBoard.strings file.

this is what i did:

"SLIDE_TO_ANSWER" = "answer";
"SLIDE_TO_CALL_BACK" = "call back";
"SLIDE_TO_CALL_BACK_SHORT" = "call back";
"SLIDE_TO_CANCEL" = "cancel";
"SLIDE_TO_LISTEN" = "listen";

i removed the "slide to" in the first line, and then respring. this however, to my frustration, hasn't fixed my problem. i am still getting "slide to answer".

anyone know where else i might look to find the solution to this problem?

thanks!

The "slide to reply" text is located in:
System/Library/BulletinBoardPlugins/SMSBBPlugin.bundle/en.lproj/SMSBBPlugin.strings

The "slide to answer" text is located in: System/Library/SpringBoardPlugins/IncomingCall.servicebundle/English.lproj/Localizable.strings

The slider .PNG files are located in:

I had to remove them from the system like that. If you are not familiar/have no idea how to SSH into your phone, DON'T DO IT or your next thread will be "My phone is stuck on boot logo, what can I do?".

Cheers
