Removing the Apple Media Player “Live Activities” from iPhone Lockscreen

I was really hoping Apple would have given us an option to permanently remove the Apple Media “widget” or “live activity” or whatever we’re calling it now from the lockscreen in iOS 18.

Am I missing something? Can this not be removed from the lockscreen for Apple TV, HomePods, etc?

Swipe it away right to left, like all ofter notifications and live activities.

That only removes it temporarily. The next time an Apple device plays any media it returns.

Try setting Automatically AirPlay to Never in Settings->General->AirPlay & Continuity
